Diablo IV Season 7 introduces Headhunts, a new seasonal event that will quickly become one of Diablo 4 Items the most engaging parts of the game. This event brings new mechanics, monsters, Diablo 4 Items, and rewards to Sanctuary, similar to the rotating Helltides, but with a unique twist. What are Headhunts?

Headhunts are rotating seasonal zones in Diablo IV that appear periodically on the world map, marked by a purple outline. These zones function similarly to Helltides, but with different mechanics that introduce new challenges, enemies, and loot. As with other seasonal events, these Headhunt zones will rotate across different regions of Sanctuary, providing fresh opportunities for players to engage with this content.

Once inside a Headhunt zone, players will encounter a variety of new gameplay mechanics, including new monsters, seasonal currencies, and powerful Witchcraft powers. Your goal will be to defeat enemies, complete objectives, and collect rewards to further your progress in Season 7.

Headhunt Event Mechanics

Headhunts share some similarities with Helltides but introduce unique features, including special enemies and interactable objects that make these zones stand out. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect.

Headrotten

The primary enemy in Headhunt zones is the Headrotten, a new type of monster that spawns throughout the area. These creatures are typically accompanied by thralls and other minions. Completing Whispers- seasonal objectives found within the Headhunt zones- will require you to kill Headrotten and their thralls.

Slaying Headrotten will reward you with Grim Favor, a new seasonal currency. This currency can be used to purchase and upgrade Witchcraft Powers from the Raven of the Tree. The more Headrotten you defeat, the more Grim Favor you'll gather.

Additionally, you'll encounter Headless Husks, Rare and Elite variants of Headrotten. These tougher monsters are more likely to drop Fugitive Heads, which are required for obtaining Occultist Gems, a key resource for buy Diablo 4 Items progressing in Season 7.
